The obligation to announce an annual financial statement in the Commercial Register for companies that had not been active was waived

Amendments to the tax legislation entered in force from the beginning of 2018 which waived the obligation of the companies to announce an annual financial statement in the Commercial Register in case the company have not been active during the previous year.

Instead of announcing an annual financial statement, the managers of these companies should announce a free-form statement from now on, declaring that the company has not been active during the previous year. Along with the statement a declaration regarding the trustworthy of the stated circumstances should be submitted as well.

The declaration that the company had no operations should be submitted using application forms G1 or G2 according to the official statement of the Registry Agency.

No fees are due for the statement.

The representatives of the affected companies may authorize a lawyer to file the declaration on their behalf.
